ABOUT
Dia is a Master student in the interdisciplinary marine science program Oceans & Lakes. She developed her interest in remote sensing during her undergraduate studies, which eventually led to the position as a part-time research assistant at the Ocean and Coastal Remote Sensing Laboratory at Diponegoro University. As a research assistant, she applied remote sensing to environmental impact assessments, mapping marine and coastal ecosystems, and monitoring coastal hazards. Since then, Dia has had a keen interest in remote sensing applications.
Now, as a Master's student of Oceans & Lakes, Dia is excited to conduct her thesis research with the MarSens research group, working on mapping particulate carbon in the North Sea using ocean colour satellites.
