ABOUT
Jakob is a biological oceanographer studying the ocean's biological carbon cycle. He combines observations from robotic BGC-Argo floats, animal-borne sensors, and ocean colour satellites to investigate how environmental changes shape phytoplankton communities and organic and inorganic carbon fluxes. His research focuses on high-latitude regions, including the North Atlantic, the Southern Ocean, and coastal Antarctica. At MarSens, his work contributes to the CarbOcean project.
